Technology as an ally for women’s professional development and motherhood
As a mother of three, I have often been asked how I have managed to balance my personal and professional life. It hasn’t always been easy, but technology has played a crucial role in my professional development and ability to balance my responsibilities as a mother.
Before becoming a mother, I had my own dreams and goals in my career. However, after having children, it can be easy to become consumed by motherhood and let other aspects of your life, such as your career, fall by the wayside.
I personally struggled with this, and it wasn’t until I realized that I was feeling incomplete and unfulfilled that I decided to focus on my professional goals again. It wasn’t easy, as motherhood is a full-time job, but I made the decision to reinvest in my career and began studying and updating my knowledge and skills.
Technology has made it easier for me to do this, as I am able to access information and resources at any time, even late at night or early in the morning. It has also allowed me to stay connected with my children, as I am able to share my achievements with them and show them the importance of working towards your goals.
For other mothers who may be struggling to balance their personal and professional lives, I would recommend harnessing the power of technology to your advantage. There are numerous resources and tools available that can help you navigate motherhood and career success, such as online courses and networking platforms.
It’s also important to remember that you don’t have to choose between your career and your family. With the right support and resources, it is possible to pursue your professional goals while also being an involved and present parent.
